Learning OUTSIDE of the traditional classroom

 
 

To help them truly thrive in college and beyond, SEED students gain exposure to experiences and environments that push them beyond their comfort zone.

SEED scholars are provided with chances to take risks, to interact with a range of people, and to have their perspective challenged. Throughout their time with us, we offer a variety of outlets for them to get involved and explore opportunities.

International Travel

Recently, more than 30 middle and high school students traveled internationally through partnerships and programs provided in collaboration with SEED.

Partnerships

Students participate in a wide variety of programs offered in collaboration with our community partners. Current programs range from STEM, videography, healthcare and cybersecurity.

Internships

For 10–12 weeks, seniors are involved in prestigious internships, while simultaneously strengthening professional mannerisms, communication, attire and social skills. During the course of their internship, students also receive education about financial literacy, building social capital, professional communication and more.

Featured: Brazil Summer Exchange Program

SEED MD and DC students and staff will travel together to Brazil in collaboration with Onda Solidaria the during Summer. Participants will spend 5 days in Rio de Janiero and 5 days in Santana do Deserto. In the two cities, students will engage in a homestay, site see, do service, hike, interact with locals, and visit a national park.
